Can Klebsellia (bacteria) cause liver and pancreas problems?

GOP and GPT are high and at the same time, I have found Klebsellia. Can there be a link?

Can Klebsellia (bacteria) cause liver and pancreas problems?
Where did you find Klebsiella sp. growing? It can cause hepatic and pancreatic problems if it's growing in your blood but generally speaking it tends to be a respiratory or a urinary tract pathogen...have you had a viral hepatitis profile done? That is a more likely cause for transminase elevation...
Reply:Patients who are immune suppressed with liver disease are very susceptible to those bacteria. Where did you find the kleb? the urine, sputum? It is common to contact these germs in chronic alcoholism, etc.
