Now that bacteria can be observed evolving in real time, do creationists still deny evolution is fact?

Creationists are undercover religious zealots, they are not influenced by facts, or by the truth.

Now that bacteria can be observed evolving in real time, do creationists still deny evolution is fact?
"IT DOESN'T SAY IT IN THE BIBLE SO IT'S NOT TRUE!!!"

Be prepared for that. Great question!!

EDIT: Yo Wishful Thinker - humans are just a TAD more complex than bacteria... THAT is why YOU don't see us evolving.
Reply:Yep.

Hooray.
Reply:Not only that but some birds have been witnessed evolving in the past 50 years.
Reply:they'll deny it. they're astonishing.
Reply:excellent question - and you can tell by the responses you're getting from Christians that they just don't care about what is real, or true, they are happy with the God disillusion.
Reply:You're extrapolating microevolution to macroevolution again.
Reply:Bacteria are not PEOPLE. I haven't seen any PEOPLE evolving in real time.
Reply:i do not deny that it is possible but the big bang is....someone had to start it ...spontaneous combustion is near impossible.....so i think it is possible that it is gods will for things to evolve if you think about it, it makes loads of sense
Reply:Certainly the facts of evolution are true, the expanding universe and these facts prove God is still in the process of creating this universe.Scientist recently discovered while experimenting at near zero absolute vaccuum, Within an empty chamber,a substance suddenly appeared from nothing.
Reply:You established your premise that "bacteria can be observed evolving in real time...", but have not given any reference to that scientific study. It would be impossible to agree or disagree when the only thing you've given is a simpe statement that may or may not have any truth to it.
Reply:"IT DOESN'T SAY IT IN THE BIBLE SO IT'S NOT TRUE!!!"

i couldn't resist. lol.
Reply:Yes, of course they do.

Creationism isn't about what is really true, it's about what creationists want to believe. Truth is utterly unimportant to the deeply religious.
Reply:Scientist still deny evolution is a fact. They call it theory.
Reply:A good Christian does not deny the purpose of evolution in God's Creation. The different types of humans and animals had to evolve from those God created and survived the great flood. Bacteria is a necessary part of life on Earth. Being raised as a JW, we were encourage to learn about it, as it added to our knowledge of God Creation.
Reply:Yes they do, they tend to re-categorize and try to pound a square peg into a round hole.

Suzanne, the development of a pump-like mechanism to pump out "toxins" in certain types of bacteria is not an "adaptation". Bacteria did not possess this mechanism earlier only to learn how to use it 50 years later.

Please explain to me the vermiform appendix or spleen in humans?
Reply:We believe that something can change or evolve to suit its surroundings, we don't believe that something can evolve into a different species.
Reply:Y'know, it doesn't matter what I put down, this question is very baised. If I put down my answer as a CAtholic, I'll get thumbs down and pointed out as a close-minded brainwashed drooling idiot who you don't think can reason for myself beyond the bible. However, if I put my religin aside and pretend to go with what you believe and bash the religious to make you feel better, then I am commiting a sin against myself and God and that isn't worth catering to your ego.

You don't really care what the religious have to say. You just want to prove your evolution theory, laugh at creationism and go about your way believing you are superior. Humans aren't bacteria. Now, if you brought evidence of a human evolving into some higher lifeform, then I might conceed to believe you. But you haven't, so why push your beliefs on me?
Reply:I haven't seen anything "Evolve" , not one time have I seen a monkey have a intellectual conversation, but than again, I don't think I have ever had intellectual conversation with someone who believes in evolution either. So maybe you have a point after all.
Reply:i think you're using the word evolving wrong,

you're using the word "evolving" for changing.

it's still bacteria, it's not evolving into a different organism.
Reply:you need to understand that what you are describing is accepted by creationists. Bacteria is known to evolve as HIV also does but the bacteria remains bacteria not another type of organism. That is miro (small) evolution. It is macro (large) evolution that creationists do not accept which is really "Darwinism". It has never been observed to occur and is supposed to be a change from one kind of organism or animal into another kind. Macroevolution is not a fact only a belief.
Reply:"Evolving" is radically different than "adapting." Bacteria "adapt" to their environments, but do not "evolve."

So the answer to your question is yes, we deny evolution is a fact. In FACT, evolution is still labled by the scientific community as a theory.

EDIT: "Capt. Macaroni," you've also confused evolution with adaptation.
Reply:We certainly do! I believe in survive of the fittest and natural selection just not in majoir changes.

I mean, I believe the giraffes got taller because the taller ones were able to get the food therefore, the smaller ones died out and the taller ones bred etc but I don't believe that we came from apes because that is just ridiculous.

The Bible says that God created MAN in his own image. Therefore, that is what we Christians will believe.

You might have come from a monkey but I sure didn't!
Reply:Fact huh. Its now a proven scientific fact that evolution is a fact?

Wow I havent seen anything on tv about it.

No it is not a fact . Scientists havent proven anything for fact yet that is why they are still studying it.
Reply:Evolution is false doctrine.Stop trying.Any part left out would kill the bacteria.Life comes from life.It has to be there from the start to continue living.
