What does "bacteria:occassional" in a urinalysis mean?

Your urine specimen may have been contaminated at the time the specimen was collected.

What does "bacteria:occassional" in a urinalysis mean?
that you have sporadic "occasional" bacteria in your urine probibly not enough to have a infection just once in a while nothing to worry about at all
Reply:probably what it sound like: occasional presence of bacteria. as your urine is supposed to be sterile when it comes out I'm guessing it's a bad thing.
Reply:It means that when your urine sediment was looked at under microscope, an occasional bacteria was visualized. We all pick up bacteria from outside the urinary tract when we urinate. If you had numerous bacteria, it might indicate a UTI, but an occasional just indicates normal contamination.
